Srinagar, March 10 -- Jammu and Kashmir education minister Sakina Itoo on Monday announced a three-day extension for the NEET-UG 2026 application deadline, which will now remain open until March 11. The extension comes after Itoo petitioned the Union ministry of education, citing difficulties faced by aspirants in the Kashmir Valley due to restricted internet speeds and the suspension of prepaid mobile services. "Thankful to Union minister of education Dharmendra Pradhan for promptly considering our request and extending the NEET-UG 2026 application deadline by three days, now till 11th March," the minister posted on X. Previously, Itoo had flagged that students were unable to complete OTP verifications or submit forms due to 2G speed limitations. She noted that while connectivity was restored late Friday night as the situation improved, the brief window was insufficient for all candidates to register. "The request was made to ensure no aspirant is deprived of this opportunity due to technical hurdles beyond their control," she added.HTC...
