Dharamshala, Aug. 11 -- The BJP Dharamshala Mandal has written to Himachal governor demanding an independent investigation into the FIR registered at the police station SV&ACB (Vigilance) and FIR registered at Dharamshala police station against Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma. The memorandum alleged that, given the political background of the developments, the possibility of political vendetta could not be ruled out. The BJP alleged that the continued legal and administrative action against Sharma, in the backdrop of his leaving the Congress to join the BJP and subsequently becoming vocal against government policies, raised serious apprehensions of political vendetta. The Himachal Pradesh state vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) on July 30, said that it has registered an FIR against Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets, while Sharma had refuted the allegations. Sharma was again recently booked for allegedly making objectionable remarks against chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
