Shimla, May 26 -- The State Election Commission (SEC) cancelled the election for the post of pradhan in Tali gram panchayat under Shri Naina Devi Ji development block of Bilaspur district after two government-linked workers were found contesting the poll. According to an official statement issued by the SEC, an anganwadi worker and a mid-day meal worker had filed nominations for the post of pradhan, prompting objections from rival candidates after the allotment of election symbols.
