Srinagar, July 9 -- Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday arrested three alleged militant aides with the help of a facial recognition system (FRS) in Anantnag district, officials said. The identities of those detained were not released by the police. Officials said that the arrests were possible after timely alerts by FRS installed in the southern district. "In a significant success, demonstrating the effectiveness of advanced surveillance technology deployed for the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, the facial recognition system installed by Anantnag Police generated timely alerts regarding three suspicious individuals while they were passing through the Sarbal area," a police spokesperson said.HTC...
