Dharamshala, March 31 -- A special POCSO court in Solan has sentenced a man from Uttar Pradesh to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl. The convict has been identified as Asif Ansari, a resident of Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh. Additional district and sessions judge (Fast Track Special Court-POCSO) Kanika Chawla also imposed a fine of Rs.40,000 on him. As per prosecution, the incident occurred in 2021, when the victim, a minor at the time, was living with her family in rented house in Solan.
