Alwar, Oct. 19 -- A woman killed her two young children and seriously injured her sister with scissors on Sunday at Dantia village near Khedli town in Alwar district, and later died by suicide, said police officers. According to the police, the woman, had stopped her four-year-old daughter from going outside to play. After the child allegedly did not comply, the mother reportedly took her daughter and five-year-old son into a room, shut the door and attacked them with scissors. "Hearing the children's screams, villagers rushed to the house and forced open the gate. They were shocked to find the mother and both the children lying seriously injured," said deputy superintendent of police Joginder Singh Rajawat. Police said that the woman's younger sister sustained serious injuries during the incident. Villagers took all four injured persons to a sub-district hospital in Khedli. "The son was declared dead on arrival, while the mother and daughter died during treatment. The woman's sister was given initial treatment and later referred to a higher medical centre due to her serious condition," said Rajawat. The officer said, "The exact sequence of events will become clear after the investigation," he said. The woman's husband works for a private company in Gujarat.
