Udaipur, July 26 -- An 18-month-old girl died after slipping from her mother's arms into a lake while the latter was taking a selfie from the third floor of a hotel in Udaipur on Saturday morning, police said. The child fell into the lake adjoining Hotel Jagat Niwas, where the family was staying as tourists. She was pulled out by local people but could not be saved. ASI Issaq Mohammed of Ghantaghar police station said, "We received information at around 8 a.m. that an 18-month-old girl had slipped from her mother's arms while her mother was taking a selfie from the third floor of Hotel Jagat Niwas and fell into the lake behind the hotel. She was pulled out with the help of local people, but had already died."...
