Ajmer/Jaipur, Aug. 17 -- Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kishanrao Bagde reviewed welfare schemes and development programmes during his one-day visit to Didwana-Kuchaman district on Sunday and unveiled a statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at Hospital Chauraha. The visit, however, was marked by controversy after student leader Shubham Rewad alleged that police confined him to his home for over 15 hours to prevent him from submitting a memorandum to the Governor. "Is it justified to arrive at someone's house at midnight and detain them merely on the suspicion that they may stage a peaceful protest?" Rewad said.
