Jaipur, June 4 -- Rajasthan was enhancing its Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) 3.0 to make financial administration more transparent, accountable and citizen-centric, chief secretary V Srinivas said on Wednesday.
Addressing an IFMS 3.0 webinar from the Secretariat, Srinivas said the upgraded system would improve scheme implementation, payment processing, financial monitoring and accounting management across departments.
He directed officials to ensure the timely rollout of all IFMS 3.0 modules.
He stressed the need to make the platform more user-friendly while promoting greater coordination among departments, simplifying procedures and sharing best practices adopted in different districts.
Srinivas also called for regular training and capacity-building programmes for drawing and disbursing officers, district-level officials and other personnel associated with the system.
Reviewing cyber security arrangements, he said data protection was a critical aspect of digital financial systems and instructed departments to adopt strong cyber security protocols, conduct regular security audits and enhance awareness about cyber threats. The chief secretary also emphasised that maintaining the security and reliability of financial data would require constant vigilance and accountability from all departments....
