Bharatpur, Sept. 11 -- A 45-year-old man allegedly shot at his neighbour, whom he was stalking, and later died by suicide in Bharatpur district on Wednesday, police officers said. According to the police, incident took place in Mathura Gate police station area after the man entered the woman's house with a weapon and fired at her. Later he shot himself in head using the same gun, a senior police officer said. "The man had forcibly entered the woman's house and shot at her. Police will register a complaint to investigate the death," Bharatpur superintendent of police Digant Anand said. After being informed about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot brought both to a hospital, where doctors declared the 45-year-old man dead on arrival. The man used to harass his neighbour, a married woman, for a long time, The woman is undergoing treatment at the private hospital and is stated to be stable, police officers said. The deceased, who hailed from Sikri in Deeg district, lived in Bharatpur with his family and worked as a confectioner. Earlier, the woman had lodged a police complaint against him for harassment.
