Social media dispute escalates to police case against SHeo MLA
Barmer, April 3 -- A controversy that began on social media has escalated into a police case involving Sheo MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati. The dispute, which reportedly started over comments exchanged online between the MLA and a Rajasthani folk singer, eventually reached the police station, prompting formal legal action.
According to reports, the disagreement intensified after both sides made statements on social media platforms. The situation worsened when supporters of both individuals allegedly became involved, leading to heightened tensions.
Following the escalation, a case was registered at the Sheo police station against MLA Bhati. Police officials said that the matter is being investigated thoroughly, and all relevant evidence, including social media activity, is being examined.
Sheo SHO Satyendra Vishnoi said, "Based on the complaint received, a case has been registered under relevant sections. We are verifying all facts, including social media posts and statements from both parties. Further action will be taken as per the investigation findings."
According to people aware of the matter, the controversy stemmed from remarks made by the folk singer Chotu Singh Rawna, to which the MLA responded. The exchange allegedly included accusations and counter-accusations, further fueling the dispute.
After the FIR was lodged, the singer also addressed the protesters, alleging inappropriate remarks and behavior. However, MLA Bhati has denied the allegations, saying that his statements have been misrepresented and that he has not used any abusive language.
Police officials said that due process is being followed and no conclusions will be drawn until the investigation is complete....
