Jaipur, Oct. 30 -- Doctors at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur have surgically removed a large epididymal cyst measuring 153 x 140 x 80 mm (approximately 15 cm) from a 62-year-old man through a small incision, reducing blood loss and aiding recovery, the hospital said. The patient, Jangli Ram Meena, a resident of Baswa in Dausa district, had been suffering from the swelling for five years. The large cyst had caused pain in the scrotum and difficulty walking and moving around. Dr Richa Jain, head of the surgery department, said such large cysts are generally removed through a larger incision. Dr Sharma said the cyst was possibly the largest epididymal cyst removed in India so far. The claim has not been independently verified.
