RPSC portal breach triggers cyber probe
Jaipur, June 14 -- The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has lodged an FIR after the online applications of three candidates in the Assistant Mining Engineer Recruitment-2024 were fraudulently withdrawn through unauthorised access to the recruitment portal.
The complaint was filed by RPSC deputy director (IT) and analyst-cum-programmer Raghuveer Gurjar at the Cyber Police Station in Ajmer. According to Cyber Police Deputy Superintendent Shamsher Khan, the portal operated by the Department of Information Technology and Communication (DoIT&C), Jaipur, is used for online applications for recruitments conducted by the RPSC and the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. The matter came to light after shortlisted candidate Ravi Kumar informed the Commission that he had received an SMS on December 29, 2025, stating that his application had been withdrawn at his request, despite never seeking such withdrawal. RPSC secretary Ramniwas Mehta said no application editing or withdrawal window was open on that date. Under normal procedure, candidates must log in through their SSO ID and complete withdrawal using OTP verification.
