re-poll of raj bar council elections ends peacefully: CEO
JODHPUR, May 5 -- Re-polling in the Rajasthan Bar Council elections concluded peacefully on Monday across four locations, drawing advocates to booths in Jodhpur, Jaipur, and Raisinghnagar without any disruptions, officials said.
The re-polling took place at the Heritage Court Complex (old High Court) in Jodhpur, the High Court premises and Civil Court campus in Jaipur, and a polling station in Raisinghnagar. Voting ran from 8am to 5pm at all centres, said chief election officer Dr Sachin Acharya, adding that arrangements at all polling stations ensured smooth conduct of the exercise.
In Jodhpur, nine polling booths operated, including booth no. 162 at the Heritage building, with entry via the main gate and the Collectorate gate. Advocates received free parking near the mobile magistrate court area. Voters could download slips from the Bar Council's website, while QR codes and physical copies were available at centres.
Jaipur hosted 29 booths in the High Court premises - 13 at the Satish Chandra Auditorium and 16 in the basement parking area - plus five more at the Civil Court campus.
A single booth in Raisinghnagar also wrapped up without incident....
