Jaipur, Oct. 23 -- Rajasthan is set to establish its first electric bus manufacturing plant in the Ghiloth Industrial Area of Kotputli-Behror district. The state government has allotted 65.56 acres (265,329 sq. meters) of land in Neemrana tehsil for the project to PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt Ltd through RIICO. The company will invest around Rs.1,200 crore in the plant, which will manufacture not only e-buses but also bus bodies, motors, batteries, wire harnesses, and other spare parts. Chief minister Sharma said the government is taking continuous steps to promote industrial growth, job creation, and infrastructure development in the state. He said that the e-bus plant marks a major stride toward realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Make in India" vision. "This initiative will give fresh momentum to Rajasthan's industrial growth and position the state as a key hub for electric vehicle manufacturing in the country," chief minister Sharma said.
