Pvt hospitals to suspend RGHS cashless options
Jaipur, Aug. 22 -- Over 700 private hospitals in Rajasthan, associated with the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS), have announced the suspension of cashless services from August 25, citing severe financial strain due to delayed payments and budgetary constraints.
In a memorandum to chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Rajasthan Alliance of Hospital Associations (RAHA) - which includes IMA, PHNHS, Upchar, AHPI, and JMA - said that despite continuous discussions with officials since April 1, 2025, no concrete solution has been reached.
The alliance, representing more than 1.1 lakh healthcare workers and their families, 10,000 vendors, 4,200 pharmacists, and 4,000 doctors, said that repeated delays, unclear deductions, and limited budgetary allocations have pushed the private healthcare system into deep crisis.
"Despite our efforts, we are left with no option but to suspend RGHS cashless services from August 25," the association said, while expressing regret that the move would inconvenience government employees, pensioners, legislators, journalists, and their families who rely on the scheme. The hospitals have urged the state government to take urgent steps for a permanent and transparent solution to ensure the scheme's sustainability and to safeguard its real beneficiaries....
