Bharatpur, Aug. 15 -- An unidentified assailant shot a 45-year-old property dealer dead late on Thursday in Bharatpur, police said on Friday. The deceased was identified as Ajay Singh from Khemra village. City Circle officer Aashima Vaswani said the incident took place near Maharani Shri Jaya college on Madarpur road, just as Singh was nearing his lodgings in the city in his car. The accused fled the spot immediately after the crime was committed, she said, adding that Singh's family staged a protest to demand action.
