police: jhalawar woman held for drug smuggling
Bharatpur/Jhalawar, May 1 -- A 24-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday for allegedly smuggling drugs in Jhalawar district, police said, adding that narcotics worth Rs.30 lakh was recovered from her possession.
City Kotwali in-charge Mukesh Kumar Meenaa said that police conducted a raid after being informed about a woman smuggling near Akashwani kendra. The arrested accused was identified as Ravina Meena, resident of village Ulu Kamalpura under Kherli Mode police station of Bharatpur district, police said.
Police recovered 179.20 gram of smack worth Rs.30 lakh from her possession.
Meena was arrested under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act for smuggling drugs.
Police said they will interrogate her to trace her sources of drug smuggling. Police said they are also investigating how many other people are also involved with her in smuggling....
