Jaipur, March 11 -- The passport and post offices in 13 districts in Rajasthan received a hoax bomb threat on Tuesday, said officials. According to the officials, the threat came to all the offices through e-mails at 10 am. "The e-mail was sent in the name of ISI. It said that 5 IED had been installed in the offices which will be blown up at around 1 pm," said an official from the cyber and telecommunication unit of the Police Headquarters. He added that the arrest of Zafar Sadiq of DMK in connection to Rs.2,000 drug smuggling was only to hide a larger plot that should be checked. "We have appointed teams to locate the sender," he added. The e-mail was sent to the offices in Jaipur, Sikar, Sawai Madhopur, Jaisalmer, Banswara, Kota, Ajmer, Pratapgarh, Pali, Chittorgarh, Sriganganagar, Nagaur, and Jhalawar. Soon after getting the information, every district police sent a team along with the quick response team, civil defence team, dog squad and bomb squad to check the spots. In Jaipur, a team of the ATS also reached the local passport office in Jhalana to check the area. Deputy superintendent of police of Udaipur city Suryaveer Singh said the offices were vacated. "We vacated the offices and also deployed an additional police force," he said. "But nothing was recovered.
