Jaipur, Sept. 4 -- Several parts of eastern Rajasthan received rainfall on Thursday as the monsoon is expected to become active again in parts of the region over the next three to four days, the Meteorological Department said. Dholpur, Dausa, Behror-Kotputli, Karauli, Bharatpur and Alwar received rain on Thursday, with waterlogging reported on roads in Dholpur. In the past 24 hours, several areas of Jaipur, Bharatpur and Karauli also recorded showers. Rupwas in Bharatpur received the highest rainfall in the state during the period, recording 27 mm. According to the Met Department, a well-marked low-pressure area was located over northeast Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. The monsoon trough was passing through Sri Ganganagar, Rohtak and the low-pressure system. The weather system is likely to strengthen rainfall activity in eastern Rajasthan. The department has forecast a strong possibility of the monsoon becoming active again in some parts of eastern Rajasthan over the next three to four days. On Thursday, light to moderate rain is likely in parts of the Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Kota divisions as well as the Shekhawati region. Between September 4 and 7, light to moderate rainfall is likely in parts of the Bharatpur, Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer and Udaipur divisions. The Kota division and adjoining districts may receive heavy rainfall at isolated places on September 4 and 5. In western Rajasthan, monsoon conditions are expected to remain weak in most parts of the Jodhpur division. However, light to moderate rain is possible in Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Nagaur and adjoining areas between September 4 and 6.
