Bharatpur/Sawai Madhopur, Oct. 10 -- A 50-year-old labourer woman's legs were allegedly chopped off to steal her anklets by an unidentified man in Sawai Madhopur, police said on Thursday. The incident occurred on Wednesday under Gangapur City Sadar police station near village Gangaji Ki Kothi in Sawai Madhopur district where the woman, identified as Kamla Devi, resident of village Seetaud was lured by a man on the pretext of giving a daily wage job. According to police, she met him along with her daughter in-law Seema Devi and a neighbour Ugti Devi in Gangapur City on Wednesday. He later left them saying that he is going to bring Kamla Devi. When she didn't return till late evening, Seema Devi filed a missing complaint, police said. A passerby later saw Kamla Devi injured and informed police. Police rushed her to Gangapur City district hospital and was referred to Jaipur. Sawai Madhopur SP Anil Beniwal said the accused lured her and chopped her legs to steal silver anklets.
