Bharatpur, April 10 -- A 43-year-old man wanted for fraud was arrested on Thursday for allegedly cheating 200 people of Rs.12.69 crore in Dholpur district, police said. Dholpur superintendent of police, Vikas Sangwan said that the arrested accused, Amit Gautam, resident of Shashtri Nagar colony under Nihalganj colony of Dholpur city, had been absconding for six years. He had a reward of Rs.43,000 on his head. "The accused posed as an investor and lured victims by promising to double their wealth within a short time. After cheating them, he left Rajasthan and settled in Delhi with family," the SP said. "A police team was formed to search for him. Police reached Delhi to arrest him after tracing his location," Sangwan said....
