Jaipur, Oct. 1 -- The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has intensified its drive to recover long-pending lease dues, identifying 13,254 defaulters against outstanding dues of Rs.1,006.75 crore and setting a target of recovering Rs.400 crore during the current financial year. The authority has already recovered nearly Rs.150 crore as of September 25, officials said. As part of the recovery drive, the JDA has also decided to link clearance of old lease dues with approval of new property plans. "A new software system has recently been developed to streamline the process, with entries being made on it for past three months. Notices have also been issued to defaulters, and in cases where payment is pending, authorities are taking action to attach and auction properties as arrears of land revenue," said a senior JDA official.htc...
