Inmates create sand art at Syalawas Central Jail
Jaipur, Oct. 28 -- As part of preparations for National Unity Day, inmates at the Syalawas Central Jail have created a lifelike sand art sculpture of India's Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The artwork, crafted entirely from natural soil and colours available within the prison premises, symbolizes an effort toward reform and creative expression through art.
Jail Superintendent Paras Jangid said the initiative aims to instill positivity and a sense of national pride among the inmates. The sculpture has been designed and sculpted by inmate Rajesh, an accomplished sculptor, with assistance from fellow inmate Sandeep Gupta. The artwork beautifully captures Sardar Patel's personality and his message of national unity.
Jailer Vikas Bagoria said several other programs will also be organised inside the prison to mark National Unity Day. These will include a unity pledge, a patriotic street play, a quiz and speech competition based on Sardar Patel's life, and a special unity parade....
