inmate forges admit card to walk out, held
Bikaner, Aug. 7 -- A 25-year-old undertrial lodged in Central Jail, Bikaner, allegedly forged an admit card for the Rajasthan Police Sub-Inspector/Platoon Commander Recruitment-2025 in a bid to secure temporary release from jail after being denied bail, police said on Thursday.
The accused, identified as Sandesh, a resident of Malasar village in Bikaner district, is in judicial custody in an NDPS Act case. According to Bikaner Range IGP Om Prakash, preliminary investigation revealed that, unable to obtain bail, the accused allegedly hatched a conspiracy to prepare a forged admit card so that he could be taken out of jail on the pretext of appearing in the Physical Efficiency Test in Bikaner from August 3 to 14.
The alleged fraud came to light during verification of admit cards and supporting documents at the PET venue on Thursday. A detailed scrutiny confirmed that the admit card was forged. The accused was immediately arrested. Om Prakash said police are now probing who prepared forged admit card and whether others were involved.htc...
