Jodhpur, April 7 -- The Rajasthan high court is considering criminal contempt proceedings against three people who allegedly entered a village court in Bikaner, and has issued notices to the accused, a lawyer familiar with proceedings said on Monday. A bench of justice Sandeep Shah issued the notices, based on a reference submitted by district and sessions judge Ashwini Vig. The reference stated that on March 10, 2026, the Judge of the Gram Nyayalaya, Bikaner, sent a letter informing the court that three people entered the premises while the court was closed and one of them proceeded to sat in the presiding officer's chair, while another stood in the witness box.
