JODHPUR, Aug. 25 -- The Rajasthan High Court on Monday took suo motu cognisance of issues concerning the welfare of Generation Z, Generation Alpha and Generation Beta, directing the Centre and state to submit action plans on paper leaks, school infrastructure, digital education, health, nutrition and child safety. Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand registered the matter as a public interest litigation and issued notices to the Centre, Rajasthan government, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India and Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The bench expressed concern over poor infrastructure in rural government schools, including inadequate training, medical facilities, washrooms and access to technology. While stressing the need for AI and digital learning, the bench said: "Technology is to be a tool and an aid, not a substitute for human intellect." The court directed Rajasthan and FSSAI to file affidavits on implementing the 2020 regulations on safe and balanced food for schoolchildren. The state was also asked to submit action plans on preventing paper leaks, filling vacant posts and improving school facilities. The state has also been asked to constitute a Generation Z, Alpha and Beta Monitoring Cell under the chief secretary to review progress every three months....
