JODHPUR, Oct. 7 -- The Rajasthan High Court has directed the state authorities to comply with its August 3 order granting self-styled godman Asaram 20 days' parole, observing that there was no iota of doubt that the order had to be implemented. A division bench of Justice Nupur Bhati and Justice Sanjeet Purohit passed the direction, while hearing an application filed by Asaram seeking compliance with the August 3 order. The court directed the respondents to place a report before it showing the actual release of the applicant on parole. The bench noted that the state had not been able to point out any legal impediment arising from criminal proceedings outside Rajasthan that could nullify or suspend the effect of its August 3 order. The matter has been listed for the third week of October, when the compliance report is to be placed before the court. Asaram was sentenced to life imprisonment till death in April 2018 in a 2013 rape case. He was arrested and sent to Jodhpur Central Jail....
