Jaipur, Sept. 28 -- Rajasthan governor Haribhau Bagade on Friday night cleared the Coaching Centres (Control and Regulation) Bill 2025, officials said. A senior official from the higher education department, said, "Governor Bagade has given a nod to the bill last night following which we have notified it to every district administration. Soon, the provisions of the bill will be implemented." Rajasthan assembly on September 3 passed the Coaching Centre (Control and Regulation) Bill 2025 proposing a two-tier authority to monitor the coaching institutes across the state and applying a penalty of Rs.5,00,000 on the institutes if they violate the guidelines. The proposed bill, seen by HT, was based on the Coaching Centre Regulatory Guidelines notified by the Union ministry of education on January 16 this year. "Over the past two decades, the state of Rajasthan has witnessed an unchecked proliferation of coaching centres. These centres often operate in a largely unregulated environment, luring lakhs of students every year with promises of guaranteed success in competitive examinations such as NEET, IIT-JEE, IIM entrance tests, and CLAT," deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa said on the objective of the bill. As per the bill, a 12-member Rajasthan Coaching Centers (Control and Regulation) Authority will be formed which will be chaired by the secretary of the higher education department with secretaries of the school education, medical education, and technical education department, and also the state's director general of police (DGP)....
