Govt transfers over 7k teachers, officials in 2 days
BIKANER, July 9 -- The Rajasthan School Education Department has launched one of its biggest transfer exercises in recent years, transferring more than 7,000 teachers, officers and employees across the state in the past two days, officials said on Wednesday. However, Grade III teachers-the cadre with the longest-pending demand for transfers-have been left out of the exercise.
The department issued a series of transfer orders on Tuesday and Wednesday covering second grade teachers, Basic Computer Instructors (BCIs), senior physical education teachers, librarians, senior laboratory assistants and district education officers.
The largest order transferred 2,153 Senior Teachers (Grade II) between divisions, while 437 Basic Computer Instructors were shifted across divisions and 138 district education officers were reshuffled. Separate district-level transfer lists were also issued for BCIs and second grade teachers.
Among the key developments, the department permitted inter-divisional transfers of Basic Computer Instructors for the first time since their appointment.
Many BCIs, who had been serving outside their home districts, have now been given an opportunity to move closer to their native places under the latest orders.
The transfer exercise also covered teachers of English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Sanskrit and Social Science, besides librarians, senior physical education teachers and senior laboratory assistants.
The orders issued so far indicate that the Jaipur division accounts for the largest share of transfers.
Despite the large-scale exercise, Grade III teachers have not been included in any of the orders issued so far....
