Jaipur, April 1 -- The Rajasthan government has launched a statewide drive for time-bound disposal of revenue court cases in the new financial year, directing officers to hold daily four-hour hearings from 10am to 2pm, prioritise disputes pending over three years, and clear the 100 oldest cases identified as of April 1, 2026, across all 33 districts to boost judicial efficiency.
Chief secretary V Srinivas has issued detailed guidelines to all revenue officers across the state, emphasising streamlined judicial procedures and timely justice for citizens affected by land and tenancy issues.
A key directive mandates that revenue presiding officers hold regular court proceedings for four hours daily, from 10am to 2pm. Officers must prioritise cases pending for more than three years, with prompt notice service-even via newspaper publication if needed.
Sub-divisional officers and assistant collectors have been directed to identify the 100 oldest pending cases as of April 1, 2026, and ensure their priority disposal within the financial year through monthly progress reviews.
The circular flags systemic delays from late notice service, missing records, and procedural gaps, with close monitoring of the disposal process. Divisional commissioners and district collectors must conduct regular inspections and report improvements to the revenue board.
