Jaipur, July 29 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday said the state government was supporting young people to achieve their aspirations in education, sports, employment and entrepreneurship. Addressing the Sapno Ki Udaan programme at his residence, Sharma said the government has taken stringent action against those involved in examination paper leaks by strengthening the law and making recruitment more transparent and secure. He claimed that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested 569 people in connection with paper leak and other recruitment-related irregularities, while 410 examinations have been conducted without any paper leak since his government assumed office. Addressing the government's record on employment generation, he said the state government has provided over 178,000 government jobs over the past two-and-a-half years. In addition, he said, the private sector has generated around 450,000 jobs during the same period. Sharma said aid Rajasthan aimed to create job providers rather than job seekers. Under the Rajasthan Startup Programme, 4,623 startups have been registered and 1,062 startups have received funding of Rs.34 crore through the iStart Fund. He said nine startup programmes have been completed with participation from 988 startups, and added that the state has also notified the Rajasthan Skill Policy-2025 and a new Youth Policy. The chief minister added that Rajasthan was emerging as a strong sporting state due to the achievements of its young athletes and the government was expanding sports infrastructure, establishing academies and providing better facilities to nurture talent. He highlighted the implementation of the Rajasthan Target Olympic Podium Scheme, the hosting of the Khelo India University Games, the launch of 17 new Khelo India Centres, and the establishment of residential sports academies at all 41 district headquarters. Disciplined, value-driven and innovative youth would form the foundation of a developed Rajasthan and a developed India, said the chief minister, adding that the state government regularly engages with young people and incorporates their suggestions into the state budget as well as policymaking. He urged young people to draw inspiration from their parents, whom he described as their first teachers, and imbibe the values of hard work, discipline and confidence to realise their dreams....
