Barmer/Jalore, Sept. 25 -- Former Jalore-Sirohi MP and BJP leader Devji Patel has written to chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday, calling for immediate security arrangements for Congress MLA Ratan Devasi. Devasi had recently claimed to receive life threats from a minister within his own party. In his letter, Patel described the threats as a matter of grave concern. He emphasized that while ideological differences are natural, putting the personal safety of elected representatives or their families at risk is unacceptable and violates constitutional principles. Patel urged the chief minister to personally intervene and ensure prompt security measures for Devasi. Ratan Devasi, representing the Raniwara constituency in Jalore district, had written to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday about the life threats from a former minister of his own party. However, he has not revealed the minister's identity, saying that he is out of station and after returning back he will disclose it to the authorities. The allegation has sparked political speculation across the state. On social media, Devasi claimed that his family continues to face threats and intimidation. He also announced plans to meet authorities soon to ensure concrete action.htc...
