Bikaner/ Bharatpur, Sept. 25 -- At least seven people have been mowed down by dumpers in two different incidents in Bikaner and Alwar on Wednesday, police said. The first incident took place in Bikaner on Wednesday wee hours when a dumper truck crushed three men on a motorcycle on the Jaipur-Jodhpur bypass in Bikaner, killing them on the spot. All three deceased were from Phalodi district, and the contractor had brought them to Bikaner for work, police said. The accident occurred near Vijayvargiya Dhani in the Jay Narayan Vyas Colony (JNVC) police station area on the bypass. SHO Surendra Pachar said the deceased included Danaram Meghwal, who was a contractor. With him were two labourers, Raju Meghwal, and Mahesh Meghwal, both residents of Chakhu, Phalodi. Police reached the scene after receiving information from passer-by and the bodies were taken to the PBM Hospital morgue. The deceased were between 20 and 30 years old. Pachar said the bodies were handed over to their families after post-mortem and the driver of the dumper, identified as Meghnath, who had allegedly fled, was detained from Bambloo village of Jamsar police station. Meanwhile, the second incident took place in Alwar when four people of a family including a child died, while a person sustained critical injuries after they were mowed by a dumper truck transporting stones. Alwar SP Sudhir Chaudhary said, "Four people, who were travelling by motorcycle, were mowed down by a truck on Alwar-Jaipur national highway when they were going from village Mejod to Jamwa Ramgarh in Jaipur." Police rushed all injured to Pratapgarh hospital where doctors declared three dead. The deceased were Babu Lal (40), Monu Kumar (5) and Ashok Kumar (22) while Nursi Kumar (25) was referred to Jaipur. "Police seized the truck while the driver is absconding. Bodies will be handed over to family members after post-mortem," Chaudhary said. Angry locals later blocked the national highway near Jhiri bus stand and started to protest against the administration. The blockade was later withdrawn....
