Jaipur, Sept. 30 -- The Rajasthan government is set to roll out the "Sahkar Membership Drive" across the state from October 2 to 15, with the cooperative department completing all preparatory work to ensure its success. The campaign aims to expand the reach of cooperative societies and strengthen grassroots participation, particularly among youth and women. Minister of State for Cooperation (Independent Charge), Gautam Kumar Dak, said that a preparatory phase was carried out between September 9 and 29. During this period, all arrangements for the drive were finalized. He said the campaign targets at least a 10 percent increase in the membership of cooperative societies, with both online and offline applications being accepted. Nearly 1.5 lakh applications have already been received during the preparatory stage. Any resident above 18 years of age within a cooperative society's operational area is eligible to become a member. Applications can be filed online using SSO ID, with Jan Aadhaar card as the only required document.
