Cong govt exploited the state's farmers, says chief minister
Bharatpur, Oct. 19 -- Farmers in all districts will have access to electricity by 2027, said chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Saturday, while addressing a public meeting on Saturday in Bharatpur.
He accused Congress of exploitation of farmers while gave credit for farmers' progress to former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh and PM Narendra Modi.
"No case of competitive exam paper leaks occured during the BJP regime, while many papers were leaked during Congress led government," Sharma said.
"Only three leaders- Chaudhary Charan Singh,Narendra Modi and Atal Bihari Bajpayee - did well for farmers in the country," he said.
"The Congress got only votes of farmers but ignored them after they came into rule," Sharma added.
The Congress party was the paramount centre of corruption and loot, said the chief minister.
Listing the government's achievements in the agricultural sector, the chief minister said that Rs.740 crore subsidy for 1 lakh farmers in the state was provided for drip irrigation.
Rs.215 crore loan for 71000 cattle rearers have been provided, he said, adding that over 50,000 solar pump sets have been set up.
More than 77 lakh farmers received Rs.43,000 crore loan without interest, the chief minister said, adding that the Gaupalak credit card will be connected with a kisan credit card to buy cattle.
The fourth installment of chief minister kisan samman nidhi was launched in Nadbai in Bharatpur at an event held on Saturday, presided over by the chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
Congress state spokesperson,Jitendra Naruka on Saturday issued a reaction to the chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's allegations, and said that the BJP has been the biggest hub for exploitation of farmers.
