Jaipur, July 27 -- A bomb threat was sent to the chief minister's office and the Jaipur International Airport on Saturday, however, they found to be hoax after an hour-long search operation, said officials. A senior police officer from the Jaipur Police Commissionerate, said, "The threat mail, sent to the official email ID of Jaipur airport at around 10 am, warned that both the CMO and the airport would be blown up within one to two hours, prompting immediate action from security forces." He added that the "email stated that an IPS officer in the Tamil Nadu cadre has been honey-trapped during TN CM MK Stalin's visit to US but the incident was sit on by the officials and media." Soon after the threat was received, the airport authority informed the police who immediately reached both the spots with anti-bomb squad (ATS) and civil defense teams. "Additional forces were also swiftly deployed at both the Chief Minister's Office and the airport. Another team was also sent to the state secretariat to strengthen security," he said. Bomb detection and disposal squads carried out a room-to-room search at the CMO while parallel operations continued at the airport. No suspicious object was recovered from either location. Saturday being a government holiday, only a limited number of officers and staff were present at the Chief Minister's Office. They were immediately evacuated. Search operations lasted for over an hour at both the premises, and efforts are being made to trace the origin of the threat email, police said....
