Jaipur, Oct. 1 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Tuesday said that his government was committed to the upliftment of villages and the poor, along with the dignity of farmers and women. Addressing a programme in Jaitaran under the ongoing Seva Pakhwada, he said the campaign had become a powerful medium to ensure good governance, development, and access to welfare schemes for every citizen. According to Sharma, Seva Pakhwada, launched across the state on September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, embodies the vision of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas" Under this initiative, service camps are being organized in both rural and urban areas to deliver government benefits directly to the last mile, he said. Highlighting progress, Sharma said 4,121 rural camps have been organized so far, completing nearly 53,000 land mutation cases, 54,000 corrections, over 82,000 crop insurance policies, 78,000 pending NFSA cases, 64,000 ownership lease deeds, and 85,000 livestock insurance cases. In urban camps, over 8,000 lease deeds and 42,000 certificates have been issued, he added. Sharma noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Rajasthan has made historic progress in the energy sector. He pointed to the foundation stone of a nuclear power plant laid recently in Banswara, day-time power supply for farmers in 22 districts, and progress on the Ramjal Setu Link Project and Yamuna water agreement. Sharma said the state has provided around 91,000 government jobs in the past 18 months, with recruitment underway for another 1.54 lakh posts. He added that investment proposals worth Rs.35 lakh crore were received at the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, of which projects worth Rs.3 lakh crore have already been launched, and another Rs.4 lakh crore are ready to roll out, creating private-sector job opportunities for youth.
