Jaipur, Aug. 21 -- Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday met Union power, housing and urban affairs minister Manohar Lal Khattar in New Delhi and sought enhanced central support for Rajasthan's renewable energy projects, Jaipur Metro Phase-2, and urban development schemes, stressing that stronger cooperation from the Centre is crucial for the state's all-round growth. Sharma urged the Union minister to include projects planned under the state's renewable energy evacuation scheme in the Green Energy Corridor-III and approve maximum central grants at the earliest. He said that Rajasthan has received significant investment proposals in the renewable energy sector, and for their implementation maximum central support is essential, states the official release from the chief minister's office. The chief minister also requested early approval for the detailed project report of Jaipur Metro Rail Phase-2 under a 50:50 joint venture model.
