Jaipur, July 3 -- The Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested an employee of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000 in connection with the issuance of a property lease (patta), officials said. According to ACB Director General Govind Gupta, the accused, Ram Singh Yadav, 28, a resident of Kishorpura in Sikar district, was working in the Jamadar Patta/Lease Branch of the Hawa Mahal-Amer Zone of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation. The action was carried out by the ACB's Jaipur City-III unit following a complaint alleging that the accused had demanded a bribe of Rs.2 lakh for issuing a property lease in the complainant's father's name. Yadav was allegedly caught accepting the first instalment of Rs.50,000 from the complainant.
