Jaipur, May 30 -- The process for the biennial elections to the Rajya Sabha in Rajasthan will begin from June 1, officials said on Friday. Elections will be held for three Rajya Sabha seats from the state. Returning Officer for the Rajya Sabha biennial elections and elected members of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, said nomination papers can be filed till June 8. He said candidates or their proposers can submit nomination papers before the Returning Officer in Room No. 106 of the Rajasthan Assembly building between 11 am and 3 pm. For the Rajya Sabha biennial election process, Room No. 112 has been allocated in the Assembly premises. According to the schedule, scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on June 9 at 1:30 pm in Room No. 751 located on the ground floor of the Assembly building. Candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations till 3 pm on June 11. Sharma pointed out that if polling becomes necessary, the voting will be held on June 18 from 9 am to 4 pm.
