Alwar, July 12 -- A petrol pump operator was shot and critically injured after asking a customer to pay for fuel at a pump in Alwar on Saturday, police said, adding, the accused was detained following a district-wide blockade. The incident took place at a petrol pump in Burja. According to police, a masked man arrived at the pump on a motorcycle. When the salesman, Sachin, asked him to make the payment, the biker allegedly refused. As he insisted on payment, the accused reportedly pulled out an illegal firearm and shot him before fleeing the spot on his motorcycle. Sachin, sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to the Alwar District Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is being closely monitored by doctors, said police.
