India, Oct. 18 -- Actor Ajay Devgn issued a clarification on Saturday, after reports claimed that one section of his bungalow in Mumbai's Juhu was demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). However, his team has explained that the demolition drive was not at his residence. "The property in question is not Ajay Devgn's residence, but a separate property that has been rented out," the statement read. Earlier reports had also claimed that the BMC alleged internal alterations, erection of partition walls, window modifications and other structural work at the 7,802 sq ft bungalow in the Kapole Co-operative Housing Society without the necessary municipal permissions. However, as per the team, they had already complied with the civic body's notice. The statement added, "We have applied to the BMC for the requisite permissions in respect of one of our properties and are duly complying with all applicable BMC rules, regulations and guidelines. The necessary changes, alterations and modifications, as required by the BMC, have been carried out. HT had earlier reported that the civic body issued a stop-work notice on September 10, directing an immediate halt to construction and seeking valid documents. Work allegedly continued despite the notice. The action followed a complaint from the housing society, which objected to the property being leased for commercial use. Residents had raised concerns about customer movement, parking, security and noise on its narrow internal roads. htc...
