JAIPUR, Sept. 1 -- Technical glitches disrupted the AIIMS CRE-5 re-examination at Jaipur's iON Digital Zone on Monday, a day after similar power and system failures affected the NEET-PG exam at the same centre. The AIIMS exam began around 30 minutes late due to a server outage, candidates alleged. Technical problems resurfaced about 20 minutes later, repeatedly interrupting the test and triggering protests by candidates and parents. AIIMS has cancelled the exam at the centre. Candidates demanded a fresh exam, citing unequal testing conditions. The CRE-5 exam, originally held on July 25, had been rescheduled to August 31 after candidates alleged questions were outside the prescribed syllabus. Congress leader and AICC general secretary Sachin Pilot criticised the arrangements and sought accountability. "The NEET-PG examination held in Jaipur yesterday was disrupted by a technical glitch at the examination centre, causing inconvenience to candidates. Today, candidates again encountered technical problems during the AIIMS examination at the same centre," Pilot wrote on social media. "Two days, two important examinations. If students are forced to protest over such problems, it is clear that the examination system has not improved as expected," he said. "The concerns of the affected students must be heard seriously, and their problems should be addressed appropriately," he added.
