Alwar, July 11 -- Two 20-year-old men suspected of allegedly killing an 80-year-old man were arrested in Alwar on Friday, hours after his body was found at home with limbs tied up and mouth gagged, said police. The victim, Dinesh Chand Agrawal, lived alone at his ancestral home in Khadana Mohalla, they added. District superintendent of police Sudhir Chaudhary said joint team of the Kotwali police station, District Special Team (DST) and Cyber Cell identified and detained the two suspects after analysing CCTV footage and gathering technical evidence. The accused were identified as Karan (20), a resident of Darukuta Mohalla, and Teju alias Tejpal (20), a resident of Malviya Nagar. Both are being questioned. According to police, the victim's son, Vikas Kumar Agrawal, lodged a complaint stating that his father, who used to visit the family home daily for dinner, did not arrive on Thursday evening. When repeated phone calls went unanswered, family members went to his ancestral house and found it locked from inside. After opening the door with a spare key, they discovered him lying inside with his hands, legs and mouth tied. Police said cash and coins kept in the house were also found missing during the inspection. Following the incident, forensic experts, the Mobile Forensic Unit (MOB), a dog squad and technical teams examined the crime scene while police scanned CCTV footage from the surrounding area. Based on the investigation, the two suspects were detained within 12 hours of the crime. Police said the accused would be produced before a court to seek custodial remand for further interrogation and recovery of the stolen cash.
