7 women, three men held in sex racket bust: Cops
Bharatpur, July 4 -- Seven women and three men were arrested, while a minor girl was detained, after police busted an alleged sex racket at a private hotel in Rajasthan's Bharatpur district following an overnight raid, officials said on Friday.
The raid was conducted at Tourist Palace hotel near the Sarasa intersection on National Highway-21 under the Mathura Gate police station limits.
Acting on a tip-off, police first sent decoy customers to the hotel before carrying out the raid. The operation began around 4 pm on Thursday and continued until 5 am on Friday.
Police said the women had been brought from other states to operate the alleged sex racket in the city.
A minor girl from Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh was also detained from the spot for her alleged involvement.
City Circle Officer Aashima Vaswani said that acting on information about prostitution, the police team conducted the raid and arrested seven women while detaining a minor girl.
Three men were also arrested under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. "All arrested people will be presented before the court on Friday," Vaswani said...
