Bharatpur, Sept. 23 -- Police have registered an FIR against seven people, including a former Armed Forces personnel, for allegedly damaging the entrance of Moti Palace, the residence of former royal family member Vishvendra Singh, in Bharatpur, police said on Monday. The main accused, Manudev Sinsini, from Sinsini village in Deeg district, allegedly rammed his car into the palace gate late Sunday night, said police, adding that the incident occurred after the Jat community had planned a panchayat at Moti Palace on Sunday, following Vishvendra Singh's removal of the princely state flag from the palace. However, the panchayat was cancelled after an appeal by Vishvendra Singh, and police were deployed to maintain law and order, they said. Despite this, added police, Manudev Sinsini, along with several others, arrived in his car and damaged the main gate of Moti Palace. He also reportedly broadcast the incident live on his Facebook page, they said.
