Jaipur, Sept. 29 -- Alwar police have busted a major cyber fraud racket under Operation Cyber Sangram, arresting four employees of a private bank and two others for allegedly selling mule accounts to cyber criminals, through which fraud worth over Rs.100 crore was executed, police said on Sunday. Superintendent of police Sudhir Chaudhary said that fresh arrests include mastermind Varun Patwa (40), a resident of Hiranmagri, Udaipur, currently living in Gurugram, and Satish Kumar Jat (35) of Hisar, Haryana. The four bank employees arrested from Hisar have been identified as Sahil Aggarwal (33) and Gulshan Punjabi (33), along with Asu Sharma (23), and Aanchal Jat (24), he added further. During the crackdown, police seized Rs.2.51 lakh cash, froze about Rs.5 lakh across 10 accounts, and recovered 26 ATM cards, 33 mobile phones, 34 SIM cards, 12 cheque books, six bank passbooks, 12 signed cheques, Aadhaar and PAN cards, two ID cards, three RCs, stamps, receipt books, and two cars, said the SP. An SIT team led by Additional SP (HQ) Kamble Sharan Gopinath is probing the case to trace the kingpins and remaining members of the racket. Earlier, the same team had arrested 10 other accused in connection with the case, he added. Investigations revealed that more than Rs.500 crore of scam funds were routed through these mule accounts, with over 4,000 complaints registered against them on the NCRP portal, said the superintendent, adding that the total number of arrests in the case now stood at 16....
