Udaipur, Oct. 7 -- A major accident was narrowly averted at the Government Primary School in Narada village under Vanayatlai Gram Panchayat in Bhinder area on Tuesday. The plaster from the ceiling of a classroom suddenly fell with students in the class, leaving three children with serious head injuries. Other students also sustained minor injuries. According to eyewitnesses, children were studying inside the classroom when the ceiling plaster suddenly came down with a loud sound. The injured children were taken to the government hospital in Bhinder where they received primary treatment and were later discharged. The incident has triggered anger among local villagers and parents. They said the school building has been in a dilapidated condition for a long time and that the authorities had been informed about its poor condition several times. Villagers alleged despite repeated complaints, no effective action was taken to repair or strengthen the building. They demanded immediate inspection and necessary repairs to ensure the safety of the children. Education officer Rajendra Chobisa said, "I am taking a meeting with concerned officers and will talk more about it later"....
