Alwar, Aug. 30 -- Three people were killed and two others injured after a pickup truck overturned on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan's Alwar district on Saturday morning, police said. The accident occurred near chainage marker 96 in the Govindgarh police station area after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. Govindgarh Station House Officer Dhirendra Singh said police rushed to the spot after being alerted about the accident. The occupants, who worked at a nursery, were travelling for work when the vehicle overturned. Police and local residents pulled the victims from the damaged vehicle. All five occupants were taken to Govindgarh Hospital, where doctors declared three of them dead. The two injured people are undergoing treatment. The deceased were identified as Sahadab, Sabahat and Afsaf, all residents of Mawana in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district. Police were collecting further information about the victims and contacting their families. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Preliminary findings suggest that the pickup overturned after its driver lost control. However, the circumstances that caused the driver to lose control have not yet been established....
